Perseverance is thrilling, aggravating, anxious, surprising, frustrating
Perseverance is scholarship
Feeling proud
I like how you capture the many facets of perserverance in your poem. I can picture the race car driver feeling the emotions that you mention as s/he tries all of those activities.
